What is Anger/Anger Management?

Anger is a secondary emotion; another emotion such as fear, frustration, anxiety, sorrow or feeling diminished often precedes the experience of anger. Generally, it replaces these primary emotions so quickly that we don’t notice it. Anger is a natural emotion and all human beings experience it. Management involves a systematic way of consciously recognizing anger and managing its effects by ultimately understanding the underlying causes.

Solution:

With mindfulness we have the choice of responding with kindness when we begin to feel irritated. When we give ourselves a moment to pause and reflect on a situation the illusion of anger dissipates. Being in the moment and responding with compassion can help lead us to a place where we are able to transform our anger into understanding what the other person may be experiencing to behave this way.
