What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is our natural response to stress; it’s a feeling of fear or panic about situations in life, such as money, relationship problems, perceived failures or a potential future scenario. Anxiety can be experienced on a scale from everyday anxiety that is useful and helpful to problematic, deliberating anxiety which robs us of our ability to manage life effectively. Anxiety can manifest itself in a variety of ways including fatigue, constant rumination, intrusive thoughts, or insomnia.

Solution:

Being more mindful through meditation is one of the most effective ways to manage and even eliminate problematic anxiety. Awareness of our thoughts and feelings allow us to untangle limiting beliefs at the source and in turn give us an opportunity to reshape how we perceive the world. Mindful breathing has been shown to reduce fear and increase the ability to think more clearly, allowing us to skillfully respond to difficult emotions.
