How to Overcome Self-Doubt

Courage (action) is the answer to Self Doubt:

To varying degrees, most of us live progress through our lives with limiting beliefs about our innate worthiness and goodness. Self-doubt has a unique tenacity & power that can grip us and leave us in a trance of unworthiness for long periods in our life which in turn negatively impact your thoughts, emotions and actions.

Here are some mindful tips that evoke self-compassion and courage. When we bring mindful inquiry into our life events, we can loosen the perceived grip of unworthiness with earnest investigation and compassion, thereby releasing its grip.

1. Shift the focus away from yourself - Be careful that you are not more concerned about your ego over helping people.

2. See excuses as lies you tell yourself - The things you want most are always outside your comfort zone.

3. Measure your actions, not your results – Take immediate/positive actions toward your goal(s) even if you don’t feel like it. “The Motivation Myth” tells us that action precedes confidence, so we can’t wait around to feel like there’s a better time around the corner. Further, if immediate results are not observed, ensure you measure the action you took, not the final product.
